Special Issues
The Journal of Animal Law, Ethics and One Health (LEOH) welcomes proposals for special issues from guest editors. As guest editors, you submit a series of articles written by authors selected by yourselves which focus on a specific topic relevant to the Journal’s aim and scope.
A proposal for a special issue should include a description of the topic, the name, affiliations and academic record of the guest editors, a list of authors who have agreed to submit a contribution to the special issue, provisional article titles and abstracts as well as the authors’ C.V.’s. Furthermore, please include the planned schedule detailing when you expect to submit the full manuscript of the special issue to the journal for reviewing and editing. The individual contributions must comply with the guidelines for the submission of manuscripts as well as the formatting guidelines.
The submitted proposal will be reviewed by the editors-in-chief, who may accept the proposal as submitted, or request amendments, or reject the proposal. The main selection criteria will be the fit with the subject scope of the LEOH and the overall quality of the proposal. The prospective guest editors will be notified as soon as possible of the outcome of the editors-in-chief’s decision.
At this point, the acceptance of a special issue will be preliminary, depending upon the submission of full manuscripts at an agreed date and the outcome of the peer review process, which will ensure that all contributions meet the Journals’ high standard for quality. The LEOH reserves the right to reject contributions that do not meet the standard of quality.
Special issue proposals should be sent to Prof. Dr. iur. Margot Michel: leoh@rwi.uzh.ch
