Switzerland: Consultation on amendments pertaining to Animal Protection Law

On 27 November 2023, the Federal Department of Home Affairs (FDHA) opened the consultation on the amendment of several decrees in the area of animal welfare. The amendment of the law concerns, among other things, the husbandry of various animal species as well as rules for the import of whelps. Further measures pertain to the area of animal experimentation. The consultation period runs until 15 March 2024.
