International: AI-powered feeding stations for stray animals in Dubai
Dubai Municipality has introduced the “Ehsan Stations” initiative, deploying AI-powered devices to feed stray animals across the city. In an initial pilot phase, 12 smart stations will be installed in public parks and selected facilities. The stations use artificial intelligence to identify stray animals, collect data, and dispense food in a controlled manner. The initiative aims to replace unregulated feeding practices with a more organised and sustainable system, while supporting animal welfare, public health, and environmental protection. The project forms part of a broader strategy that includes trap–neuter–return (TNR) programmes and shelter services.
