EU: EBS Live Debate to Explore One Health Policy Recommendations

The interdependence of human, animal, plant, and environmental health is well established, and the One Health approach has become a cornerstone of integrated policymaking across disciplines. There is strong scientific evidence supporting its application in areas ranging from public health and food systems to zoonotic disease prevention, antimicrobial resistance, and environmental protection. In this context, the EBS Live TV debate, which will take place tomorrow, will focus on the policy recommendations of the European Commission’s Science Advisory Mechanism (SAM). The discussion will examine how these recommendations can be effectively translated into action at the EU level, supporting a more coherent and cross-sectoral health strategy.
