Denmark: Transport requirements for piglets

The Danish Ordinance amending the Animal Welfare Ordinance on Transport of 26 June 2024 (Bekendtgørelse om ændring af bekendtgørelse om beskyttelse af dyr under transport) introduces new minimum requirements for the transport of piglets (pigs weighing less than 40 kg) in addition to the existing minimum requirements for the height between each floor of the means of transport for the transport of pigs weighing 40 kg or more. The amendment will enter into force on 1 April 2031.
