Germany: German Animal Welfare Act

In Germany, on 24 May 2024, the ministry of nutrition and agriculture presents it's  bill of the act to alter the German animal welfare act.

The act is critisized by environmental and animal welfare organisations (BUND, Deutscher Tierschutzbund, DJGT) because it implies many exception clauses (as from the ban of the use of tethers).
