GB: Ban on the export of livestock for slaughter

On Tuesday 14 May 2024, the third reading of the Animal Welfare (Livestock Exports) Bill took place in the UK Parliament. The bill bans the export of cattle, horses, sheep, goats and pigs for fattening and slaughter from and through England, Wales and Scotland. Royal Assent is still required for the Animal Welfare (Livestock Exports) Bill to become law.
