Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
- The manuscript is written in German, French or English.
- Please adhere to the rules given by the latest edition of the "Duden" or, if you write in French or English, use one type of spelling (e.g., British English spelling) throughout the manuscript.
- Please make sure that grammar, punctuation and spelling are correct in the language used.
- Where there is more than one author clearly indicate who will handle correspondence at all stages in the refereeing and publication process and post-publication.
- Disclose any conflict of interest.
- On average, contributions should not exceed 10’000 words for articles and 5’000 words for other types of contributions. However, there is no strict limit to the length of the contribution, but the information provided should be concise and to the point.
- The manuscript should be uploaded to the journal’s website at the appropriate place (“Submit a manuscript”) in two versions: - The original manuscript (.doc or .docx) - The anonymized manuscript to ensure double-blind peer review with all author information removed from the text as well as the properties of the file (.doc or .dox)
- The relevant citation rules have been followed (please consult the section “Author Guidelines”).
- Please download the Microsoft Word Template for essays ( Word-modèle pour article) or for reviews ( Word-modèle pour recension) and apply it to your contribution. Do not change the standard formatting in the template (e.g., font size, spacing between paragraphs). For emphasis, do not use underlining but employ italics as indicated in the template. In any case, the submission file must be in Microsoft Word format.
- The contribution has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. If you are interested in publishing an article in LEOH that has already appeared elsewhere, possibly in an updated version or as a translation, please contact the editorial team directly: leoh@ius.uzh.ch
